Jocelyne Smallian-Khan

Jocelyne likes to travel, dance, shop, read, drink tea, drink wine (and other spirits), listen to music, get pampered at the spa, ride motorcycles, and spend time with family and friends.

When travelling she enjoys lying on the beach, exploring cities, learning about cultures, eating food, learning a few words and phrases in a new language, and generally seeking novel adventurous experiences. Sometimes she takes time to write about her travel experiences here and on TripAdvisor.

When not travelling, she works full time for the federal government of Canada, runs a small business and teaches dance, organizes occasional community events, thinks up new projects to take on, wastes too much time fiddling with the computer, dreams about more travel, and spends time chilling with family and friends.

She has a Bachelor of English from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Public Administration from Dalhousie University. She has participated in the boards of community arts and multi-cultural non-profit organizations. She has a tendency to take on too much, but justifies this to herself because she would rather be too busy than too bored.

She is eagerly looking forward to retirement from her government job so that she will have more time for all the aforementioned travel and leisure activities, to spend more time dedicated to physical fitness, and to learn more languages.
